I find my inspiration in concepts that will induce lifelong conversations. Exploring the ongoing discoveries that can lie within the four corners of a canvas that may not initially be seen. I aim to create portals (commonly called paintings) that a viewer can instantly visit but also change when shared with a fellow traveler who has a different perspective. Challenging the mind to expand beyond ones perception is what I hope to foster when two or more gather in the presence of a piece. The piece above came from the realization that we as humans can be shallow at times with the physical/ visual of one another and miss true beauty that flows effortlessly. To see true beauty requires non-judgmental attention that is open minded and relatable. The colors used felt warm and expressive of the concept itself. This one is named "Hidden Beauty".
